Grandmother was a book was created in response to local writer Stacey Levine's short story Parthenogenetic Grandmother. Readers sat and listened an audio recording Stacey's story and flipped the pages according to the audio. The images were created by interpreting the story in front of a green screen and then manipulated in Photoshop.
