TURN is a year-long collaborative exhibition platform, where twelve artists take turns transforming a single piece.

Julia Freeman brought a weight where there once was lightness. Labeled “White Bomb” and referencing colonialist power structures, the improvised emotive device was, like all IEDS, made from parts available, made out of necessity, made to protect, and ultimately made to scatter.

Laser cut cloth that was then piled. The shapes of the "quilt block" come from parts of a home-made bomb.
